Photographic Competition
Winter 2012
The Parish in Winter
(A winter scene photographed in or near the Parish of Felmersham and Radwell)
All the photographs published below were entered in the competition and were judged by Helen Dawkins.

First Frosty River
by Helen Rose
Good use of colour with the contrast of the reeds against the blue of the sky which is also reflected in the river. The line of the river leads the eye through the scene and the figures add scale to the view. Beautiful light.
Second One Man and his Dog
by Laurie Jones

A real cold winter scene confirmed by the walker wrapped up against the elements with the road leading the eye through the photograph - nicely framed by the archway created by the trees.

Third Frosty Berries
by Keith Rose
Good sharp rendition of the frost/snow with good contract of the berries against the sky - would have benefited from being cropped but the effect is striking
