This Deaths Head Hawk moth was photographed in Felmersham Park by Maggie Spoor. It measured about 3 ins. from wing tip to wing tip.


On Saturday 21 June Annett Elizabeth Courtney married Tomas Henry Brett at St Mary's Church, Felmersham

This 1929 Austin T Saloon was on display at the Felmersham Village Fete on Saturday 28 June 2014. Also in the photo are from left to right: Ian, Malcolm and ? who are members of the group which displayed their vintage cars. Rain forced the event to be held in the Village Hall with the result that the inflatables were left deflated and wet.

The public slipway on the bank of the River Ouse at Felmersham has been extensively repaired.

Rosalind Templeman and Michael Pantrey were married at St Mary's Church, Felmersham on Saturday 5 July 2014. The Sun held a successful Beer Festival during the first weekend in July. The  photo shows the Barbecue, with Kevin cooking the burgers and sausages and Clive serving the customers.

Harvest Time a watercolour by Frank Summerlin
Sarah Royal took this photograph of lightening as a thunderstorm passed over Felmersham in the early hours of Friday 18th July 2014. Daytime temperature soared to 29C.  An open air Holy Communion service was held at Hall Farm, Radwell on Sunday 20th July 2014 near the site of where St James Church, Radwell may have stood. Frank's painting is based on his wartime memories. It depicts his father on the binder and Tom Hensman on the Fordson model N tractor and a small boy pointing to his dad the plane which is a B17G from the 92nd Bomb Group at Podington.
On Saturday 19 July 2014 Lesley and Andy Sharpe were married by the Rev'd Thomas Sander at St Mary's Church, Felmersham. The reception was held at the bride and grooms home with relatives, friends and neighbours sharing the joy of this special occasion.

On Saturday 2 August 2014 Rachel Hubbard and James Mellor were married at St Mary's Church, Felmersham by the Rev'd. M McDonald from Sharnbrook.

Modern Pilgrims
Two German students, Lisa and Yvonne, stayed overnight in Radwell on their way home having cycled from Germany to Ireland to visit St Patrick's grave. Also in the photograph, taken by Graeme Dawson, the Rev'd. Tom Sander.

Photo taken near Swansholme. The 500kW wind turbine is at Souldrop with Sharnbrook church in the middle distance. The turbine is 50M. to the hub and 77M. to the blade tip. This photograph was taken at the beginning of August immediately after the field was harvested. The tractor is pulling a cultivator which covers a wider area than a plough and is faster.

The new New Road bridge viewed from the Radwell Road bridge, near Milton Ernest.

 The bridge replaced the old Victorian bridge in readiness for the electrification of the Midland Main Line north of Bedford.

Radwell Road bridge is completely hidden. The single span bridge in the background is East End bridge, a farm access bridge, between Milton Ernest and Oakley. The rail track gradient can be clearly seen.


A window box in Trinity Close

On Saturday 9 September 2014 at St Mary's Church, Felmersham, Emily Patience Waplington-Brown and Mathew Peter Swift were married by Revd Robert Evens.

There were a good number of exhibits in the Autumn Show 2014. Felmersham Art Group exhibited paintings which were to a very high standard. Peter Hartop, on the left, won "The Show Plate" for the greatest number of first prizes (four) and Peter Bance, on the right, won the "Best in Show" cup for his runner beans. Driven by the wheels and a chain, the hay is picked up from rows and moved up the loader by the wooden bars with steel fingers.
