On Sunday 28 July an outdoor Communion Service with
Baptism was held at Hall Farm, Radwell near the probable
site of the former chapel of St James, Radwell. |
On July 12th a flower arranging demonstration was given
in the church by Hazel Pearce |

Ian
Painter and Lisa Stratton were married at St Marys
Church, Felmersham on Saturday 6 July. The photo left
shows Ian and Lisa with the Rev'd Tomas Sander and on
the right, a former London bus which took guests to and
from the reception. |

BT are re-wiring the street cabinet near Felmersham bus
shelter. When the works are completed the line between
Felmersham and Sharnbrook will be upgraded to ADSL2+.
There are currently no plans to upgrade to fibre. Sept

Annual Show 2013
Terry Longstaff who won the show plate for the highest
number of “Firsts” (4) and Monique Eyre Smith who won the “Best
in the Show” cup. |

A Red Kite
flies over Felmersham Church Tower. At one time
confined to Wales, a reintroduction scheme has brought
them back to many parts of England and Scotland. |

During the Felmersham Dog Show in June a television
camera was filming for Ronnie's Animal Crackers
presented by Ronnie Corbett. The Felmersham episode will
be screened on BBC1 on Friday (TBA) October at 7.30 pm. |

On Wednesday 16 October a water main burst in Church End
causing disruption to local traffic. |

Sharnbrook
Fire Engine c1930 |

This hot air balloon was photographed over Felmersham
on Thursday evening 24 October 2013. It landed in the field
alongside the river where there is a dip in Felmersham
to Carlton road. There appeared to be 12 people on
board. |
In the front are two hoses and several leather fire
buckets. The fire engine has been restored and is now on
display in the lobby of The Higgins (Museum), Bedford. |
Remembrance Sunday 2013
After a short Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial
the Service of Remembrance continued in St Mary's
Church. During the service the children place on the
altar poppies they had made the previous Sunday. They
also lit 22 candles in remembrance of the 1 woman and 21
men from the parish who lost their lives in both the
First and Second World Wars. |
