On the 12th
July 2018 Felmersham and Radwell Community Care
celebrated 21 years
helping the parishioners of
Felmersham and Radwell.
The 21st birthday party was held
in Pinchmill Committee Room where guests sat down to an
afternoon tea provided by the Community Care Committee.

The hot weather and low water flow has encouraged the growth
of duckweed in the River Ouse downstream of Felmersham

Strawhenge! Felmersham's very own henge.
This type of henge has a very short lifespan and
consequently is fairly rare. |
The remains of a medieval oven were found during
building works at 2 Trinity Close. The size of the oven suggests that it may have been used as a communal
oven.

Fr Reuben, Rector of the Benefice of Sharnbrook,
Felmersham and Knotting with Souldrop, will be leaving
the Benefice on Sunday 7th October. He will be moving,
with Stephen, to Scotland to take up an appointment as
Rector of St John's Church, Johnston and St Margaret's
Church, Renfrew as a member of the Scottish Episcopal
Church.

Laying a culvert during the
construction of the Jubilee Lawn. Using
volunteers from the parish, the Jubilee Lawn was
constructed to celebrate the Queen's Silver
Jubilee in 1977 A crane was hired
to help lay the large concrete pipes. In the lower
photograph from L to R: Bill Kelly, Geoff Hulatt,
Roland Carpenter, Dave Canning and David Smith. Others
helping were John Mackenzie and Ken Shrimpton.

Sharnbrook Cake Shop Closes Sharnbrook Cake
Shop served the last customer on Friday 19th October
2018. The shop not only served cakes, bread and drinks
but there was also a busy lunchtime trade serving
freshly made sandwiches etc. At the rear of the shop was
a small cafe that served coffee and light lunches. The
cafe was well known for its freshly cooked breakfasts
